Heat that outlasts the element

Inside every Rio Eco Plus is an oversized ceramic core. The element heats the core, the core heats the room, and when the thermostat switches the element off the core keeps radiating. The result is a steadier room temperature than a panel heater can manage, with fewer on-off cycles.

Slimline at 90 mm deep, wall-mounted with the bracket supplied, and silent, because there is no fan.

What does an electric radiator cost to run?

The maths is simple: output in kW × your unit rate = the most it can cost per hour at full power. In practice the thermostat switches the element off once the room is at temperature, and the ceramic core keeps radiating while it is off, so a typical day uses far fewer full-power hours than the radiator is switched on for.

Why choose a ceramic core electric radiator?

Smart electric radiators give you room-by-room heating without a boiler, pipework or an annual service. Buying questions, answered

Are ceramic core electric radiators expensive to run?

Any electric heater turns 1 kWh of electricity into 1 kWh of heat, so the running cost is set by the output you choose and the hours it runs at full power. The ceramic core keeps radiating after the thermostat switches the element off, so the element runs for fewer hours than the radiator is on. Use the running-cost calculator above with your own unit rate.

Can I fit it myself?

The 1000W and 1500W come with a fitted UK plug and a wall bracket: fix the bracket, hang the radiator, plug in. The 2000W has no plug and must be hardwired to a fused spur by a qualified electrician.

Does it work with Alexa and Google?

Yes. Pair the radiator with the free Tuya Smart app, then link the app to Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. Apple HomeKit is not supported.

How quickly will it arrive?

In-stock radiators ordered before 2pm Monday to Friday are sent by DHL Express for free next-working-day delivery to UK mainland addresses. Pre-orders for the 2026 model are delivered by 12 December, in the order they were placed.

What if it is not right for my room?

You have 30 days to return it. Every radiator also carries a 2-year warranty covering parts and electronics.
